Assuming to be
Safe
From the wrath
Of fate’s influence
On your life
Is an ignorance
Beyond measure.
Some take it up
To harm with words
Much sharper
Than a blade itself,
Or tremble intentionally
On people’s hopes
And dreams,
To satisfy their own
Needs.
They play with the
Fear of others,
Toy around with
Their insecurities and
When life finally
Stops watching
And deals them
Different cards,
Or suddenly
Changes unexpectedly
All their rules,
They act surprised and
Often even hurt.
You hear them say
‘Why me’
And I whisper
Silently to myself
‘Why not’
In the end
I am only human, too.
